VBOA International Vauxhall-Bedford
Meeting – Denmark 2011
The meeting will take
place from June the 2nd to the 5th. The Meeting and accommodation will
be on Lundø, a small village and the surrounding peninsular in
north Jutland which overlooks the Limfjorden.
This is beautiful wooded lakeside holiday country which the Danes don’t
normally tell outsiders about!
For those who want to come before June
the 2nd and/or stay after June the 5th (some ferries do not operate daily)
we will help to arrange accommodation here on Lundø or wherever you wish in
Denmark.
Itinerary
June the 2nd: We will visit Jesperhus
Resort, which is a family owned company with an interesting history.
Throughout the years Jesperhus has developed from a small flower garden to the
largest Flower Park in Northern Europe,

June the 3rd: We will visit the nearest
town, Skive, and park our cars by special arrangement on the Posthouse Square.
The members of the Danish club and Krumtapperne (Danish classic car club) will
watch your cars so you are free to go shopping or the Skive guides will show you
Skive's many tourist attractions.
You can visit Skive Harbour or the Museum.

June the 4th: Rally - The rally
contains a small contest. The Route is beautiful and will show you typical
Danish scenery but will also be full of surprises! We will eat lunch at a local
brewery on the island of Fur (recently voted by the readers of a Danish paper as
the most beautiful island in the country) in the Limfjord

June the 5th: We are happy to have you
in Denmark this day because June the 5th is our National Day and always a
holiday. A few years ago it also became the day of all historical vehicles.
We will visit Spøttrup Castle to join a big classic car rally. Spøttrup Castle
in Salling is Denmark’s most well preserved medieval castle. The Castle oozes
medieval charm like nowhere else in Denmark. The museum offers numerous
activities, such as evocations, displays and markets. The many activities
contribute to making Spøttrup Castle an exciting place to visit. Welcome to the
middle ages!!
